Police have arrested a man in connection with a series of fires in Queens on Sunday.

Devon Page, 22, has been charged with five counts of arson.

Page allegedly set a 2007 Mercury Mariner on fire in the vicinity of 49th Street and 39th Avenue in Woodside about 5 a.m., police said.

He also allegedly started several smaller rubbish fires in the same area.

The vehicle that was burned belonged to City Councilman Eric Gioia, NY1 reports, but police do not believe the councilman was targeted.
