You really can buy anything on the Internet: Some enterprising people on Craigslist are selling positive pregnancy tests.

“Wanna get your boyfriend to finally pop the question? Play a trick on mom, dad or one of your friends?” asks one pregnant New Jersey woman on the site. “I really don’t care what you use it for.”

The trend seems to have started in May, when a Buffalo woman began selling used, positive pregnancy tests for $25 a pop. She got the idea after people asked for her old pregnancy tests “numerous” times.

The posters seem to agree on one thing: They won’t ask any questions.

“I don’t care what you need them for,” wrote one pregnant Manhattan woman on Craigslist. Hers were listed for $20 each — Manhattan pickup only.

Considering the fact that a new pregnancy test is about $9, the markup doesn’t seem too bad. Perhaps the tests get better with age, like wine and cheese?

Craigslist is not the only online marketplace offering positive pregnancy tests. eBay is flooded with listings for positive pregnancy tests, though the majority of those are “prank” pregnancy tests that turn positive after you dip them in water or urine — perfect for squeamish jokesters who don’t want to handle used tests.

But these aren’t your ordinary joke shop positive pregnancy tests (whatever those look like): They are dead-ringers for branded pregnancy tests and come in wrappers and boxes. Whether you’re an EPT, Clearblue or First Response woman, eBay has you covered, though they’re a bit pricier than the ones on Craigslist.

Need to take the charade a step further? eBay sellers have thought about that as well. For just $29.99, you can order a positive pregnancy lab test, personalized with your information and mailed to your home. It even comes with handwritten marks.

“SHIPPED DISCREETLY AND OFFICIAL LOOKING!” boasts the ad.

The eBay listings all assure buyers that the pranked will get a kick out of this: “Best joke around!”

We’re not so sure about that.
