Two Phillies fans arrested at Wrigley Field
Two New Britain Township men were arrested early Sunday on trespassing charges after they allegedly slipped through window bars to get into Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field.
Kevin Burge, 25, of Sellersville Road, and Steven Gudknecht, 25, of Fairview Drive, were charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass, Phillyburbs.com reports.
Burge and Gudknect were arrested about 3:45 a.m. after security officers spotted them inside the Chicago Cubs’ home stadium. The Bucks County residents reportedly intended to steal some ivy off the Wrigley outfield wall.
The Phillies were in Chicago playing the Cubs over the weekend.
