The body of a missing Newton teen has been found after a days-long search that started last week.

Karen Douglas, 18, was last seen Oct. 3. Her body was found this weekend, police said on Sunday.

Newton police asked the public for help in their search for Douglas and posted her picture on social media.

Douglas was a student at Newton North High School.

Police said her death does not appear to be suspicious or involve foul play. They did not release any more details.
