Mayor’s race: John Connolly leads Marty Walsh in poll
The mayor’s race in Boston is pretty close as the campaign heads into the final month, according to a new poll.
A Suffolk University/Boston Herald poll released Monday surveyed about 600 likely voters between Oct. 2 and Oct. 6.
City Councilor John Connolly earned 41 percent in the poll and leads state Rep. Marty Walsh, who earned 34 percent.
About 25 percent of those surveyed were undecided, according to the poll.
Walsh and Connolly were the top two vote earners in a preliminary election last month. The general election to replace Mayor Thomas Menino will take place Nov. 5.
The poll’s margin of error is 4 percent.
