Man critically wounded in Upper West Side shooting
A man was shot on the Upper West Side late Monday night, the NYPD reported.
The NYPD did not release the name of the victim, but confirmed he is 45 years old.
Police said the incident happened around 12:34 a.m. Tuesday morning near Amsterdam Avenue and West 88th Street in Manhattan.
The victim was shot twice in his torso and once in his left leg, police said.
He was apparently able to hail a cab and transport himself to St. Luke’s Hospital.
As of Tuesday afternoon, police said he was still at the hospital in critical but stable condition.
