Cherry Hill woman led drug ring, busted with $780K of cocaine
A 28-year-old Cherry Hill, N.J., woman and eight others were arrested Thursday in connection with an international cocaine trade, state police said.
Marsha Bernard, who led the drug network, received much of the drugs and distributed them. One other member of the group was also from South Jersey.
About $780,000 worth of cocaine, two handguns and more than $600,000 in cash was seized. The investigation, which also included the Attorney General’s Office, began in March 2011.
Jamaica and California were made the network’s base of operations, police said.
