Bronx robber targeting nail salons: NYPD (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

The NYPD reports that a robbery in the Bronx is apparently targeting nail salons.

The suspect has so far hit at least two locations. One Sunday, Oct. 27 he burst into Nails At Last on Castle Hill Avenue, hit a woman with a gun, then stole her purse and tore off. That incident occurred around 7:30 p.m.

The same suspect hit another nail salon earlier this month, police said. That incident occurred on Nov. 5 around 7 p.m. at Beauty and Nail Salon on Boston Road. The suspect reported smacked a woman in the head with a gun, grabbed her purse and took off.

Police describe the suspect as a 23-year-old man between 5-feet and 5-foot-6 inches tall, weighing about 120 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and carrying a backpack on the first incident.

Police are also looking to question two people in connection with both incidents.
