Help the MBTA ‘Fill-A-Bus’ with toys

The MBTA kicks off its 13th annual Fill-A-Bus holiday gift collection today with an opening event in Worcester.

Those interested in donating to the toy drive may drop off items through Dec. 13 at various MBTA locations throughout the greater Boston-area. After this morning’s Worcester collection, the bus will visit Everett and Charlestown (full schedule below).

“Please donate a new, unwrapped toy when the Fill-A-Bus visits your community. … Thank you in advance for your donation and generosity,” organizers said in a statement.

Last year, the drive brought in about 1,000 toys.

“We are really hoping we can get as many toys as possible and help as many kids as possible,” said Kelly Smith, a T spokeswoman.

The bus will visit the following locations:
