It was a dangerous weekend to walk around New York as collisions claimed the lives of four pedestrians and two motorcyclists across four boroughs.

A tractor trailer hit eight-year-old Noshat Nahian of Woodside, Queens as he walked to school with his sister on Friday morning. He was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital. The driver, Maurico Osorio-Palominos, 51, has been arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

Later that day, just before 6 p.m., police received a report that someone had been struck at W. 155 St. and Amsterdam Ave., where they found 76-year-old  Antonio Escanio on the ground with trauma to the head. He was later pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Escanio had been struck by two different vehicles while attempting to cross Amsterdam, police said. Both drivers remained on the scene.

On Saturday afternoon just after 4 p.m., 40-year-old Albert Marku was killed when the Honda motorcycle he was driving struck another vehicle on Williamsbridge Rd. in the Bronx, police said. The other driver stayed on the scene and no arrests have been made.

Just twenty minutes later, 31-year-old Darien Baker of Yonkers was driving his motorcycle on Queens Blvd and 58th Street in Woodside  when he collided with a 78-year-old female pedestrian before crashing into a fence and a tree. Both Baker and the victim, who has not been identified, were taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where they were pronounced dead of severe trauma.

Finally, at 9:37 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a hit and run at Eastern Parkway and Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn. They found an unidentified 51-year-old man lying unconscious after being struck by a black four-door sedan. The victim was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital. The driver fled the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
