A Worcester teenager had a scary experience Monday when two men tried to lure her into their vehicle.

According to the Worcester Police Department, the 14-year-old girl was on her way to her bus stop when a white van pulled up next to her, and two men inside the van demanded that she climb inside. When the teen refused, the two men showed her a dog in the van. Afraid that the dog would attack her, the girl ran across the street. She reported the incident to school officials.

The suspects are described as two white males; one suspect is thin and about 6 feet tall. The vehicle is described as a white box-type utility van.

Officers searched the area extensively but were unable to locate the vehicle. Police ask that parents and students report any suspicious activity and remain aware of their surroundings. Worcester police will also increase patrols during the hours when students are traveling to and from school.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to send an anonymous text to 274637 TIPWPD with your message, or submit your tip anonymously online at worcesterma.gov/police. Calls can also be made to the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at (508) 799-8651.
