Three Brandeis students hit by car
Three Brandeis University students were injured on Sunday night when they were hit by a car in Waltham.
According to a Waltham Police Department report, officers were called to the scene on South Street in front of Lindsey Pool around 6:30 on Sunday night, where they observed three Brandeis students who were hit by a Lexus. The Lexus had a visibly damaged windshield, while the three students were lying in the roadway.
The victims, an 18-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old woman, had been walking through the crosswalk on South Street when they were hit by the vehicle.
The driver of the Lexus, a 42-year-old Belmont man, did not appear to be impaired by drugs or alcohol at the scene, but investigators will continue to monitor the situation.
An accident reconstruction team also arrived on the scene.
As of Monday morning, the students were all said to be in stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
