Body ID’d as reality TV chef
Police identified a body taken from the Hudson River on Friday as Joseph Cerniglia, a New Jersey chef who appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” reality-TV show. In a 2007 episode, Ramsay told Cerniglia his business was about to “swim down the Hudson” because of $80,000 in debts. Cerniglia, 39, owned Campania in Fair Lawn. He may have jumped from the George Washington Bridge. Foul play was not suspected.
