Cops bust Midtown ‘sex club’ (PHOTOS)

Inside the AM party space, which included a private back room plastered with images of naked women.

An after-hours party spot that neighbors claim was secretly a sex club is still going strong, despite the arrest of its promoter.

Club promoter Alexander Van Bousen, 43, was arrested on Sept. 30 for the illegal sale of alcohol at parties he ran at 38 W. 38th St., police said.

But a neighbor complained that far more than alcohol was being served up.

E-mail advertisements obtained by Metro promised that men can “Go out, Come here, Get off, Go home,” for just $20 if they showed up at that address, as first reported by DNAinfo. The parties, called “AM,” also received rave reviews on group sex websites.

Condoms littered the hallway of the building, a neighbor who wished to stay anonymous told Metro. Partygoers would “proposition family members on their way to kids’ shows at the theater on the third floor,” the neighbor said.

Van Bousen has been arrested before, police said, for sex abuse and the solicitation of a prostitute.

Abriani Velroa said he unwittingly rented his third-floor space to Van Bousen for two months, July and August, when the parties were held once a week before moving up to the fifth floor.

“It was nuts,” Velroa said. “He said it was a high-end food event for private members. The place was completely destroyed.”

Attendees had to send a recent photo of themselves to get invited, the e-mail instructed, and were told “Condoms, lube, water, Gatorade and more is provided.”

Fun just won’t quit

Metro visited the address yesterday and found Tony Martinez, 36, setting up the space for another party this Saturday.

“It was a good party,” Martinez recalled of the bashes. He claimed as many as 700 people attended each of Van Bousen’s events.

“You can’t have a party that big without having the cops in your pocket,” he said.

He reminisced of times when women stumbled out onto the streets wearing nothing but a thong.
