Report: Madonna Badger, mother of girls killed in fire, attempted suicide
The woman who lost her three daughters and her parents in a Connecticut Christmas Day fire attempted suicide, according to reports.
Madonna Badger was hospitalized last week after she injured herself in an effort to end her life, the Daily news reported.
“She is out (of the hospital) and somewhere safe,” a friend told the Daily News. “Nobody could really hold up well under the circumstances.”
Her daughters, Lily, 9, and twins Grace and Sarah, both 7, were killed when fireplace embers ignited a fire at the Stamford mansion.
Her parents Lomer and Pauline Johnson also died.
She and her boyfriend, Michael Borcina, were able to escape the fire. The home was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire and was destroyed in the blaze.
