Largest East Coast gaming convention locks in decade deal with Boston
The video gaming convention “PAX East” will be coming to Boston for the next 10 years as part of a new agreement with the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
The convention drew more than 70,000 attendees to Boston over the past two years, and the new contract deal will keep the conference here through 2023. The PAX East convention will be held April 6-8 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
PAX East is a three-day game festival for tabletop, videogame, and PC gamers.
State officials and members of the MCCA say the event will bring tourism and to Boston and stimulate the Massachusetts economy as people visit restaurants, hotels and other places during their three-day stay.
