VIDEO: Occupy Wall Street responds to feces allegations: ‘Big banks stink!’ (Updated)

Occupy Wall Street has responded to NYPD allegations that protesters were caught dumping human waste in public places.

The NYPD said Wednesday that Occupy Wall Street protesters poured urine and feces down stairs on a downtown corner and into an ATM vestibule.

The police department released surveillance video they say was taken at about 8 p.m. on March 14, which they say shows demonstrators “dragging large quantities of human urine in feces in containers to an open-air plaza.”

Then, cops said, protesters poured the waste down stairs at the corner of Nassau and Cedar Streets.

In a separate incident, about 20 minutes later that same night, cops said a protester entered a Chase ATM vestibule on Water Street, and poured more human waste inside the vestibule.

“Not all actions against banks are Occupy related,” said Kanene Holder, responding to a Metro inquiry. “Occupy Wall Street did not endorse such an action.”

“However,” she said, “we cannot
control the ways in which people are searching for American justice. Big
banks stink!”

She added, “It could also be a group of people trying to sabotage and sully our reputation.”

After a witness provided a license plate number of the van used to transport the waste, police said they arrested Jordan Brooks Amos, 25, on March 16. Amos is the alleged owner of the van that transported the waste.

Amos, a Philadelphia resident, was charged him with unlawful possession of noxious matter, as well as criminal possession of a weapon, after police said they also found a stun gun inside the van.

Meanwhile, the Daily News has video of an NYPD officer shoving Occupy protesters with his nightstick.

NYPD Chief of Department Joseph Esposito is seen in the video pushing demonstrators as they apparently do not fight back, the Daily News reported.
