Cops find infant’s remains in Long Island yard

Police dug an infant boy’s remains out of a Long Island backyard after the boy’s mother, having been caught lying, finally revealed the makeshift grave’s location.

Authorities said Saturday that they originally visited the Farmingdale, N.Y., home to check on an autistic 6-year-old boy parented by Robert Rodriguez and Heather Kowalczik. But they ended up also inquiring about Justin Kowalczik, born in 2009, based on interviews with the two boys’ mother.

Rodriguez has been named a person of interest in Justin’s previously unreported death.
