Fire breaks out near Upper West Side Apple store
A fire at Ollie’s Noodle Shop drew a dozen fire trucks and 60 firefighters to wrangle the flames under control this morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire appeared to start in the Upper West Side restaurant’s kitchen, an FDNY spokesman told Metro.
No one was taken to the hospital, and no injuries reported, he added.
The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. and under control by 10:30 a.m.
The FDNY is investigating the cause of the blaze.
The nearby Apple Store closed after the blaze sent billows of smoke into the sky.
An Apple store employee confirmed that the store was closed but referred questions to Apple headquarters.
