(UPDATE) Crane collapses in Long Island City, 7 injured

UPDATE: According to the FDNY, seven people were injured as a result of the collapsed crane. Three are in serious but stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining four sustained minor injuries.

The Department of Buildings is currently responding to the situation, but say they have no information on it yet.

The FDNY received a call at 2:21 p.m. this afternoon, reporting a collapsed crane at 47-27 46th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.

The FDNY is currently on the scene evaluating injuries, but they do not yet have a count of how many have been injured.

An FDNY spokesperson said that it does not appear that anyone is trapped.
