PHOTOS: Men allegedly tried to sell 20lbs of pot to officers in Franklin Mills Mall parking lot

Eric Boehm, 47.

The District Attorney’s Dangerous Drug Offenders Unit on Thursday night arrested two men who they say tried to sell 20 pounds of high-grade pot to undercover officers in the parking lot of Northeast Philadelphia’s Franklin Mills Mall.

Anthony DeRosa, 39, of Wilkes Barre and Eric Boehm, 47, of Goshen, N.Y., are charged with conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility.

Weed recovered from the scene, according to police.

Police said the two men transported the marijuana from Wilkes Barre in the back of a 2002 Chrysler Voyager minivan and tried to sell it to the officers shortly after 10 p.m.

The car allegedly used to transport the marijuana.

After obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle in question, agents, aided Philadelphia Police SWAT, Highway Patrol and K-9 units, allegedly found in the back a brown and tan suitcase hidden under painter’s tarps and tools.

Inside the case, they said, were 20 vacuum-sealed plastic bags of weed with an estimated street value of $100,000.

Both of the suspects were arraigned on Friday and each man’s bail was set at $200,000. They both remain jailed at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility and are next due in court on Jan. 25 for a nebbia hearing to ensure that any bail money posted toward their release is not obtained from illegal activities.
