Man fatally shot in the back on Fern Rock street

A man was shot and killed in Fern Rock Friday evening.

Police said the victim, 25, was shot once in the back shortly before 7:45 p.m. on the 5600 block of North 13th Street near Olney Avenue

He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in a private vehicle and died a short time later.

The man’s identity has not yet been released. There is no word on a motive, and no arrests have been made.
