Delaware police ID three people killed in New Castle County Courthouse shooting

Delaware State Police have identified three people who were shot and killed yesterday morning at the New Castle County Courthouse.

Police said Christine Belford, 39, and Laura Mulford, 47, both of Newark, were struck down by gunfire. The suspected shooter, 68-year-old Thomas Matusiewicz of Edcouch, Texas, was Belford’s former father-in-law. Matusiewicz was also killed during the shooting.

Homicide detectives are still conducting interviews, reviewing video surveillance and collecting evidence at the crime scene.

More information is expected to be released later today.
