Quinn holds lead in mayoral race

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn continues to hold the lead among the democratic contenders for mayor by a huge margin.

According to a NY1/Marist poll reported yesterday, Quinn is ahead of the other Democratic candidates with 37 percent of registered Democrats liking her for mayor. The poll placed former City Comptroller Bill Thompson at 13 percent and Public Advocate Bill De Blasio at 12 percent.

In the Republican pool, former MTA Chairman Joe Lhota is leading 20 percent support.
