boston crime tape

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found on train tracks in an Allston/Brighton rail yard Monday night, and authorities are trying to determine how she died.

State police and investigators from the Suffolk district attorney’s office classified the incident as a death investigation.

Authorities were called to the Beacon Park Rail Yard just before midnight Monday. There they found the body of the woman on the tracks beneath Interstate 90.

Authorities did not release the name of the woman, but said she was from New Hampshire.

It was unclear how she died.

“The cause, manner and circumstances of the woman’s death were not immediately apparent and remain the subject of an active investigation,” the Suffolk district attorney’s office said in a statement.

No charges are being sought at this time.
