13th DUI gets Yardley man up to 10 years in prison
A Yardley man was sentenced to five to 10 years in prison after being convicted of drunken driving for a 13th time.
Bucks County Judge Wallace Bateman described Lawrence Konyves, 47, as a “grave risk to the community” in handing down the sentence Monday, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
Konyves was in court for sentencing after being found guilty of three DUI charges, two from 2012 and one from 2011. The oldest of his 13 DUI convictions dates back to 1984, the paper reports.
In addition to prison time, Konyves’ driver’s license has been suspended until at least 2025.
