A 75-year-old Roxbury man was arrested Monday for allegedly renting out rooms in his home to prostitutes and selling beer and condoms.

Officers from the Orchard Gardens Safe Street Team were called to 131 Eustis St., in Roxbury to investigate possibly illegal activity. Officers familiar with the area and some of the known prostitutes saw people coming and going from the residence at all hours of the day and night, police said.

During their investigation, police obtained information that a man named Fard Ahmed who was allegedly charging women $20 for two-hour room rentals. He was also allegedly selling beer and condoms.

Police obtained a number for one of the prostitutes believed to be working in the house known as Cinnamon. An officer set up a meeting during which she told him “everything” was available at a rate of $100 for 30 minutes, police said.

The officer went to the house and Cinnamon let him in before putting a cut 2-by-4 piece of wood behind the door to prevent it from opening, police said. She let the officer leave the house after he said he left half of the money in the car.

At that point other officers moved in and arrested Andrews and the woman.
