Police: Teen abducted during Juniata Park home invasion
An 18-year-old man was abducted early this morning during a home invasion on the 4000 block of Lawndale Street in Juniata Park.
Police said five gunmen wearing ski masks and all-black clothing around 4 a.m. burst into the home through the basement door.
They allegedly pistol-whipped a 57-year-old woman and tied her up.
Police said they also bound two other occupants – a 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man.
The suspects then abducted the 18-year-old, dropping him off a short time later at his uncle’s house on East Tioga Street, according to investigators.
The 57-year-old woman was taken to Temple University Hospital with neck injuries. No additional injuries were reported.
There is not yet word on a motive for the crime.
