Police, FBI seek alleged bank robber
Philadelphia police and the FBI are seeking a bank robber they say hit a Citizens Bank branch Monday and attempted to rob a PNC Bank branch Saturday afternoon.
The FBI released a surveillance image of the suspect on Monday.
The man reportedly slipped tellers threatening notes in both cases. He left the Citizens Bank branch at 6324 Stenton Ave. with an undisclosed amount of cash Monday about 2:15 p.m., but left the PNC Bank at 3244 N. Broad St. empty-handed on Saturday.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s, about 6-foot-2 and thin. He had a beard and was wearing a black hat and a dark jacket.
The FBI urged anyone with information about this suspect to call 215-418-4000.
