VIDEO: Kid gunman surrenders

A 10-year-old boy Philadelphia police say pulled a gun on several people in North Philadelphia earlier this week reportedly has turned himself into authorities.

The kid surrendered Thursday night, 6ABC Action News reports, several hours after police released surveillance video footage that shows a kid no older than 12 and no taller than 5 feet pull a gun on a girl in the city’s Tioga section.

The incident began at 16th and Ontario Streets Monday about 6:25 p.m. when the boy pulled the gun–now believed to be a toy–on the female.

Police say the boy proceeded to pull the gun on a 27-year-old man on the 3300 block of North 16th Street 20 minutes later. That victim ran inside a home and called 911.

The boy was accompanied by two teens, police said.

One of the two teens is captured on the surveillance video pointing the gun on a group of males who were walking along Ontario Street. The trio then hangs out with the group of males for several minutes.

Police described the young boy as black, 10 to 12 years old and about 4-feet-9. He was wearing a red shirt with white writing on it, blue shorts and green sneakers, while carrying a multi-color backpack.

The other two suspects both are described as black, 14 to 16 years old, thin and about 5-feet-5 to 5-feet-7.  Police say one teen is dark-skinned, the other light-skinned.

No charges have been filed, according to Action News.
