Man, 56, hit and killed by SEPTA train
A 56-year-old man was killed this morning after he was hit by a train, officials said.
The man was struck by a SEPTA Regional Rail car around 7:30 a.m. just north of the Philmont Station on the West Trenton Line, SEPTA spokeswoman said Kristen Geiger.
Authorities are investigating whether the death was accidental or intentional.
This is the ninth person to be killed by a SEPTA train in 2013. Twelve were killed in 2012.
