On the MBTA: Man poses as hot dog seller at Forest Hills Station
A Medford man was arrested early Friday at Forest Hills station after he allegedly tried to sell hot dogs from a vendor cart that did not belong to him.
Transit Police said they were called to the station around 5 a.m. for a report of a suspicious man, and discovered Dana Reis, 56, setting up a hot dog stand in the lobby.
An MBTA worker told police he did not recognize Reis as a vendor, however the eager hot dog slinger insisted he was filling in for his friend.
Reis failed to provide contact information for the friend, and also failed to produce a permit for the hot dog stand, police said.
Officers discovered several warrants out for his arrest, including larceny and defrauding an innkeeper.
