Thomas Coffee, 23, is being held without bail after he was formally arraigned Sunday night on murder charges in connection with the death of Daniel Cooke, 27, of Williamstown, N.J.

Coffee, of the 1900 block of Lukens Avenue in Willow Grove, is charged with murder, robbery with the infliction of serious bodily injury, possession of an instrument of crime and firearm offenses after allegedly using a Craigslist ad to lure Cooke to a West Oak Lane alley, where police say he shot and killed the man.

Cooke traveled to the 1400 block of East Walnut Lane with two friends Friday night to answer a Craigslist post advertising an ATV for sale, according to investigators.

There, Cooke was allegedly met by Coffee, who police say was wearing a white towel on his head.

Coffee allegedly told Cooke to walk down the street with him to look at the four-wheeler as Cooke’s two friends stayed inside the car.

When the men lost sight of Cooke, they told police, they heard two gunshots.

Cooke, of the 1400 block of Victory Avenue in Williamstown, was shot in the head and died on the scene.

Coffee was arrested Saturday and arraigned around 8 p.m. Sunday night.

He is next due in court July 10 for a preliminary hearing.
