[UPDATE] Man, 19, shot in head in Southwest Philadelphia
UPDATE, 8:58 a.m.: A 19-year-old man is in critical condition with severe brain trauma after being shot in the head in Southwest Philadelphia early Monday.
The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. on the 1600 block of South Frazier Street, police said.
Police officers responding to the area on a report of a shooting found the teen victim, who resides in the area, lying face down on the sidewalk.
The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment.
Police did not have any information on suspects or a possible motive for the shooting as of about 8:50 a.m. Monday.
