VIDEO: Teen rushes field during All-Star game in Twitter dare

A New York teen ran onto Citi Field during the All-Star Game after promising to pull the stunt if he got more than 1,000 retweets.

“1000 RT’s and ill run across the field.. #ASG #CitiField,” Dylan McCue-Masone, 18, tweeted at 7:44 p.m. using the handle @MasoneDylan.

The Shirley, L.I., resident became progressively nervous at the prospect, tweeting, “lmao this is gonna be terrible” and “i hate all of you” as the retweets stacked up.

By 9:15 p.m., a resigned McCue-Masone decided to go for it.

“alright.. i guess have no choice.. gonna try to get out by left field,” he tweeted.

While the moment wasn’t captured in the live broadcast, The New York Daily News reports McCue-Masone was taken down near second base by a stadium security guard. McCue-Masone was charged with interfering with a professional sporting event, though it’s likely he’ll get a worse punishment at home.

Before running onto the field, McCue-Masone’s mother urged him not to pull the prank, texting him “U better not I will kick ur ass.”

“i got 1000 rts ma..” he responded.

“Idc u better not,” she replied, adding, “I’m not kidding I don’t want u getting hurt,” and “Dylan it’s not funny that a serious thing and u could get arrested if not worse please don’t b ridiculous.”

“if i actually get on the field pray for me cause my moms gonna kill me,” he tweeted.

McCue-Masone’s last tweet came at 9:36 p.m., just before he made a run for it.
“AHHH,” he tweeted.
