Second man charged for throwing 16-year-old off Brooklyn roof after raping her
A second suspect has been charged for luring a 16-year-old to a roof in Brooklyn, raping her and throwing the teen off the building.
Antonio Owensford, 25, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, strangulation, assault and two counts of rape Friday, police said.
Owensford, of Brentwood, Suffolk County, allegedly raped the teen with Anwar Desouza, 25, before tossing her off a three-story building on July 14.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital with multiple injuries to her leg, arm and neck.
Desouza allegedly met up with the victim through the site Backpage.com, a classified site used to peddle prostitutes, sources told the New York Daily News.
The victim met up with Deouza at the apartment building he shares with his wife and two children. While negotiating terms of their encounter, Deouza and the victim ran in Owensford.
When Deouza refused to wear a condom during the $100 tryst, he and Owensford took turns raping and choking her. Owensford is believed to be the one who threw the victim off the roof.
Desouza was charged with attempted murder, assault, rape and strangulation.
