Futures at Fenway welcomes families and their dogs

The eighth annual Futures at Fenway event is set to happen at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fenway Park, pitting the Boston Red Sox Double-A affiliate Portland Sea Dogs against the Washington Nationals Double-A affiliate Harrisburg Senators.

The event is a celebration of America’s favorite pastime, and according to organizers, a chance for fans to get a firsthand glimpse at some of the Red Sox’s most promising prospects.

Tickets start at $5.

Entertainment includes:

  • Post-game performance by chart-topping artists, the Kidz Bop Kids, Billboard’s No. 1 Kids Artist of 2010, 2011 & 2012
  • “Dog Day at Fenway” – For the first time ever, fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark (free of charge) and participate in canine-themed activities:
  • Pre-game dog parade around the warning track
  • Rest areas, water bowls and activities will be provided
  • Photo station
  • Family friendly ticket & concession prices
