Police search for missing Queens boy
The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in finding a boy who went missing from his home in Astoria on Sunday evening.
Police say Jedin Muhammed, 11, was last seen leaving his home on Astoria Boulevard on Sunday at 5 p.m.
Muhammed reportedly went missing a week ago as well, but was later found, police said.
On Sunday evening, he reportedly told his parents he was going to play in a nearby sprinkler. Police say he never returned.
Cops believe it is more likely Muhammed is lost than abducted.
Muhammed is described as being 5-foot-2 and 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. When he left his home he was wearing a white T-shirt, white bathing suit and blue-and-white Adidas sneakers.
Police ask that anyone with information regarding Muhammed or his disappearance call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
