Woman injured in fall onto Center City train tracks
A woman was hurt when she fell onto train tracks at SEPTA’s Market East Station early this morning.
The incident happened about 12:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the platform for SEPTA’s R5 train, 6ABC Action News reports.
The woman, 42, sustained head and leg injuries from the fall, and she is listed in stable condition at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
It’s not clear how the woman fell onto the tracks, though her injuries occurred in the fall. Crews did have to pull her from under a train, according to the Action News report.
