Zagat highlights Philly with new mobile app
Popular restaurant rating firm Zagat, which was last year acquired by Google, on Monday rolled out a new website and mobile app highlighting nine cities — among them Philadelphia.
The website and free app, available for Android and iPhone operating systems, features Zagat ratings and reviews, map browsing and curated lists to help consumers “cut through the clutter” and find their desired nightlife or dining spot.
Some lists already posted on the City of Brotherly Love’s section include “10 Hidden Gardens in Philadelphia,” “Restaurants Where You Can Escape the Heat in Philly” and an “Ultimate Sushi Guide.”
The Zagat app is also available for Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, London and Washington, D.C.
In the coming months, the company plans to expand the app to cover 50 destinations in the U.S. and overseas, as well as to include information about shopping, hotels and other places of interest.
