A 26-year-old man was arrested with nearly 20 pounds of street-ready heroin Saturday night, police said.

Joancis Delacruz-Arias, of Yonkers, N.Y., was picked up with some 25,000 paper packages of the drug around 8:20 p.m. in the Inwood neighborhood of Upper Manhattan.

An anti-crime unit nabbed him and the heroin after noticing an unidentified Hispanic male stowing a large brown duffel bag into the trunk of a double-parked silver Nissan Altima with Delacruz-Arias in the driver’s seat.

Knowing the vehicle was in a drug-prone block, Sgt. Brian Holshek and officer Michael Walsh, in plain clothes, parked in front of the car and approached the Nissan with their shields showing. The unidentified male alerted Delacruz-Arias of the cops’ presence before fleeing the scene.

After Delacruz-Arias gave police permission to search the vehicle, cops found the heroin, estimated at $750,000 on the street.

Delacruz-Arias was charged with criminal possession of controlled substance. The suspect who fled has not be apprehended as of Sunday afternoon.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
