Temple University is slated to get plenty of publicity this week from “Good Morning America.”

Temple’s Diamond Marching Band is scheduled to perform pop hits such as Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” on the morning show on Tuesday,  the school has announced.

On Thursday, led by the school’s Cherry Crusade group of “die-hard student fans,” busloads of cherry-and-white-clad Temple students will travel up the New Jersey Turnpike to New York City’s Times Square for a pep rally sure to get some serious GMA airtime.

“This is great for Temple University,” said junior Evan S. Feinstein, Cherry Crusade’s vice president for marketing and Temple student government’s director of university pride and traditions. “We’re very proud and excited for this opportunity to show Temple as one of the great universities in the nation.”

“Good Morning America” airs in the Philadelphia market on WPVI-TV 6ABC from 7 to 9 a.m.

Temple alumni living in the New York City area are encouraged to head into Manhattan to participate in Thursday’s pep rally at the show’s Times Square studios.
