Woman fights off attacker with frying pan at Tewksbury hotel
A woman in Tewksbury managed to fend off her attacker by smashing him over the head with a frying pan, according to police.
Frank Harrison, 46, allegedly attempted to rape the victim at knifepoint in the Extended Stay America hotel in Tewksbury after offering her a ride from one party to another, WBZ reports.
Harrison told the woman he needed to stop at the hotel for cigarettes. He proceeded to attempt to rape her, but she was able to grab the metal pan and hit him twice over the head with it.
Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan told WBZ that Harrison and the victim had met at a house party in Lowell earlier in the evening.
Police charged Harrison with kidnapping, armed assault with intent to rape and indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14. Police apprehended Harrison after they were called to the hotel for a report of a man covered in blood with major lacerations on his head, according to the report.
