Four people were struck by gunfire after multiple shootings occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a nightclub after a show hosted by local rapper Meek Mill.

Delaware State Police say that after the show ended early Saturday morning, the crowd of 700 patrons fled on foot and in cars as multiple shooters exchanged fire in the parking lot.

Police responded to reports of multiple shooters at the Moodswing Nightclub at 1:48 a.m. and after arriving could hear shots being fired within the crowd as patrons fled. Paramedics located and treated two victims, while two others were brought to hospitals by friends.

The victims were in stable condition and included a 21-year-old male, 22-year-old male, 24 year-old-male and a 33-year-old female.

Five vehicles in the lot were struck by gunfire.

Mill, a Philadelphia rapper, tweeted “DE gone b crazy tonight!” to promote the concert at the Moodswing Nightclub on Kirkwood Highway in Delaware.

A commenter responded at 2:09 a.m.: “There’s a shoot out going on here right now. Avoid at all cost.”

State troopers are continuing to collect evidence and conduct interviews with witnesses but have not released a potential motive or any description of suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 302-834-2630 or send a tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES), with the keyword “DSP” in the text.
