Two suspects are wanted for stealing a brown crocodile skin jacket worth $40,000 from a high-end clothing store in Manhattan last week.

Police said the two suspects, a man and a woman, entered the men’s clothing store Zilli on 57th Street, next to the Four Seasons Hotel, about 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.

The woman removed the jacket from a display rack and passed it to the man, who took it into a fitting room where he stuffed the coat in a duffel bag. The pair then fled the store without paying, police said.

The suspects didn’t appear to have inside help, police said.

Both the man and the woman are described as white, in their mid-20s with brown hair and thin builds.

Police describe the woman as 5 feet, 3 inches tall. She was wearing a black jacket, dark jeans and black boots at the time of the theft. The man is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and wore navy pants and a tan jacket.

Cops ask anyone with information on the coat heist to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS or submit tips online.

  1. Why is a $40,000 crocodile jacket sitting on a rack where anyone can just take it and walk into a fitting room where nobody is even there to check what they bring in and out? Was it on the clearance rack?
