Snow, tech problems cancel Miley Cyrus Boston Jingle Ball performance
Twerking pop sensation Miley Cyrus was a no-show at Saturday’s Boston Jingle Ball concert, an apparent victim of the weekend snow storm.
Cyrus, 21, tweeted to her expectant Boston fans, saying earlier in the day,”snowed in & bored. IM TRYING BOSTON,” and “Trying to get to you Boston!!!!!!!!!!!”
Kiss 108′s annual concert, which was held at the TD Garden, included performances by Paramore, Fifth Harmony, Robin Thicke, Flo Rida, Selena Gomez, Fall Out Boy and Enrique Iglesias.
A representative for Cyrus said in a statement, “Miley is extremely disappointed she cannot be there to perform, but looks forward to her next opportunity to entertain her fans in Boston.”
Cyrus also sent out tweets saying: “As much as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Teterboro Airport I would REALLY love to be playing #jingleball #Boston,” and “Mechanical issues + bad weather = stuck in NYC and can’t get to Boston for #KISS108JingleBall.”
