Thief steals computers donated to city by comedian Kevin Hart

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart recently took to Twitter to express his frustration with disappointing news: Several computers he donated to the city for use by disadvantaged kids were stolen.

“I was just informed that some of the computers that I donated to the Philadelphia public school system were stolen. This is a message to all of the kids at the schools that were affected…ignorance like this only motivates me to do more…I will be back. But I’m coming bigger and better this time. I put on for my city #philly,” Hart wrote on Tuesday.

The four computers, valued at $1,100 each, were reported stolen from the Cobbs Creek recreation facility on Friday, CBS reported.

“Don’t let the this bulls— affect your mental kids….I love y’all and I will be back shortly,” Hart wrote on his Twitter account.

Hart had joined Mayor Michael Nutter on Nov. 8 to visit some of the eight schools where the 300 new laptop computers he donated were in use. Hart also donated 200 laptops to the city’s parks and recreation department for use in 27 rec centers.

“I am blessed to be in a position that allows me to give back to the city that made me who I am,” Hart said at the time.
