Mayor Michael Bloomberg got a special Christmas Eve gift this year: his much-anticipated new grandson.

Daughter Georgina Bloomberg, 30, and her boyfriend Ramiro Quintana, 36, welcomed baby Jasper Michael Brown Quintana into the world at 4:34 p.m. on Tuesday, according to an exclusive report from the New York Daily News.

A spokeswoman for Georgina told the Daily News little Jasper weighs 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and that the baby and his mom are “doing great.”

The mayor has repeatedly talked about his excitement in anticipation of the arrival of his first grandchild. He even become uncharacteristically emotional at a speech before the Association for a Better New York earlier this month.

“I’m looking forward to holding the baby in my arms,” he said, choking up. “And saying to him, ‘This is your generation’s city now. It’s the greatest city in the world.’”
