A Bronx man fought off two attempted robbers, one posing as a UPS delivery worker, just two days before Christmas, police said.

One of two men, both believed to be in their 20s, rang the doorbell to the 52-year-old man’s Bedford Park apartment Dec. 23 around 3:45 p.m.

Upon looking through his peep hole, the man saw what he believed to be a delivery worker, who said he was from UPS delivering a large brown box.

When the man opened his door, the disguised would-be robber and another suspect attempted to push their way into the apartment.

Police said the man was able to push them back out. The pair fled down Fordham Road.

No injuries were reported during the incident but police are looking to identify the men wanted in connection with the attempted robbery.

The disguised delivery worker is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-7, weighing about 160 pounds with a light completion and thin build. He had a shaped beard and was wearing a brown skull cap, brown t-shirt, jeans and work boots, police said.

The second suspect is described as 5-foot-10, weighing about 220 pounds with a heavy build. Police said he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.

Cops ask anyone with information about the incident to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips online.
