Brooklyn carwash employee dies in work accident
An employee of a Brooklyn carwash died during an accident at work Saturday afternoon, police said.
The Hispanic man in his 30s, who has yet not been otherwise identified, was inside a Lincoln Navigator and trying to move it from the Automated Hand Car Wash in Bedford-Stuyvesant when police said the SUV accelerated onto Atlantic Avenue and was hit by a Nissan around 3 p.m.
The worker was ejected from the SUV, which then hit him and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop, police said.
The man was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.
The driver and a passenger in the Nissan were taken to the same hospital with complaints of pain.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
